HSE (Health, Safety and Environment) Sub-committee
The objectives of the HSE
Sub-committee are to:

Improve HSE performance in the Well Services sector.
· Ensure, through consultation and liaison with the Regulatory Authority, that HSE legislation and its enforcement are appropriate to the Well Services sector.
· Support the Industry wide Step Change in Safety initiative (www.stepchangeinsafety.net) to deliver its objective of the UK being the safest place in the worldwide Oil and Gas Industry by 2010.
Activity
The group meets monthly to address safety issues which affect the Well Services sector and share learnings/best practice.
Individual Member Company representatives have been active in many of the Step Change initiatives - Safety Leadership Training, Task Risk Assessment, Dropped Objects, Vantage/POB, Personal Responsibility for Safety.
