Legal Sub-committee

The objectives of the Legal Sub-committee are to:

• Provide guidance to the WSCA Board and Sub-committees on all legal matters

• Ensure observance of all Anti-Competitiveness guidelines

Activity

The Legal Sub-committee has been very active, in conjunction with the Contracts Sub-committee in the redrafting of the LOGIC/CRINE Standard Well Services Contract and the associated Guidance notes. The standard contract sis of benefit to the whole Well Services sector through standardisation  and simplification of contractual arrangements between Well Service Contractors and Operators, Operator's other contractors and Third Parties.

The Legal and Contracts groups are now working on the draft of a Standard Well Services Sub-contract to be submitted to the LOGIC/CRINE Committee for approval. 

The Legal and Contracts groups were also involved in the establishment of the Industry Mutual Hold Harmless agreement and fund its share of the maintenance of the agreement. (See the IMHH website www.imhh.com.)
